Ramadan display in the Idea Box features clothing, books and symbols relating to Islam

Now until April 28 the Oak Park Public Library is displaying a special showcase celebrating Ramadan. The display is inside the library’s Idea Box, which is a 9-by-13-foot room near the main entrance. The box is a public space designed to empower marginalized voices and inform the community about multicultural events. This showcase is brought to Oak Park by local resident Dima Ali, a founder of Being Different, an organization dedicated to educating the communityabout Islam.
