A group of 222 students at Oak Park and River Forest High School has been named State Scholars by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.
Any student who takes the SAT and/or ACT is eligible to qualify for the commission’s State Scholar Program. Since 1957, the commission has given the awards to exemplary Illinois students who show outstanding high school achievements and have strong college entrance exam scores, according to the official ISAC website.
ISAC sends congratulatory letters to each student, and Certificates of Achievement are sent to the recipients’ schools to download and print.Â
