The Japanese programs of Oak Park and River Forest High School organized the Japan Fest, which took place Feb. 4. The day-long event, held in the school’s main lobby, Little Theater and cafeteria, showcased parts of Japanese culture and gave the students involved with the program an opportunity to dive deeper into their learning of Japanese culture. The event featured games, traditional dances, martial arts, food and crafts, and gave students a chance to work with members of Chicago’s Japanese community.
