The group that calls themselves “Team One” is ready to create change in the best way for the Girl’s Volleyball program at OPRF. They gave themselves the name because they are the first varsity team for the new program. As the first team under the new coaching staff, they are ready to start fresh.

Jordan Mrkvicka, a senior and team captain, said “We have a lot of talent this year…a lot of players have stepped up.” That is exactly what she said she wanted to see as a captain.

Senior Abby Zarosl is Mrkvicka’s co-captain, and is returning for her fourth year at the varsity level.
“Team One” members said tradition starts now. During a practice or game, it is not uncommon to hear “TSM” being cheered by players on the team (Tradition Starts Now). Mrkvicka has the goal for the team to “make it to state” but to also “set a new precedent for the program.”
